Founders · the humans behind the team

We built mission-critical hardware first. Then we came for the AI workforce.

Hyper Cybernetics is founded by the team behind LX Group and Insyt — two sister companies with 18 years of combined experience shipping electronic products that can't fail. Medical devices. Military hardware. Smart agriculture at national scale.

We believe AI belongs to that same discipline — fail-safes, documented failure modes, weekly telemetry review — not to enthusiast experimentation. Here's who's building it.

Kate Harper

Founder & CEO

she/her · Sydney, AU · Founded · 2026

"AI tools are evolving daily — but the UX is still enthusiast-developer-grade. Most teams can't get the value without becoming developers themselves. We're fixing that."

Kate has spent 18 years shipping mission-critical electronic products as the founder of LX Group and Insyt. She started Hyper Cybernetics because the AI workforce was being built like consumer software — and she's spent her career building things that can't fail.

JM Jonas Mei portrait

Jonas Mei

Co-founder & CTO

he/him · Melbourne, AU · Founded · 2026

"You wouldn't ship a medical device without DFMEA. Why would you ship an AI workforce without one?"

Jonas led platform engineering at LX Group for nine years. He's the architect of the safety harnesses that wrap every Hyper Cybernetics team member — the same DFMEA discipline applied to non-deterministic AI.

Dr. Priscilla Vance

Co-founder · Functional Safety

she/her · Hobart, AU · Founded · 2026

"A welding cobot has a documented failure mode. So does a contracts lawyer. Our customers see both."

Priscilla holds TUV functional safety certifications and led safety engineering at LX Group for seven years. She wrote the DFMEA template every Hyper Cybernetics team member ships against.

Co-founder · Customer & Coaches

he/him · Brisbane, AU · Founded · 2026

"The technology is the easy part. The integration into a team — the trust, the cadence, the rituals — that's the work. That's what coaches are for."

Marcus built the Insyt customer success function and ran integrations across three continents. He runs the coach network at Hyper Cybernetics — the human side of the human-machine team.

  • ·Head of Customer, Insyt
  • ·Operations consultant, McKinsey
